AR Accountant

Perform SSC’s AR functions in an efficient and effectively way. Ensure timely and standardized processing of AR documents in accordance with Bekaert’s established SSC policies and procedures.

Your role

1. Perform AR transactions to ensure efficient execution of standardized processes in accordance with SLA and in compliance with Bekaert’s policies.Timely process accounting entry of account receivables / banknote receivables, credit note issuance, reconciliation, etc.

2. Perform closing process to ensure on-time closing of accounting period.

- Perform AR closing activities including month-end reconciliation of A/R journal entries with BW report, reconciliation of SAP and VAT invoicing, etc.
- Prepare proposal for bad debt provision according to the standard rules.
 

3. Prepare regular and ad hoc reports and analysis as required, for accuracy and additional insight.

Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual and ad hoc financial statement and regulatory reports, ensure data correctness, timeliness and completeness

4. Cooperation with local finance teams and support for resolution of A/R related problems.

- Have or build a good and professional relationship with local finance teams and work together well in order to assure overall customer satisfaction
- First line of support for resolution of all A/R related problems or requests

5. Reconciliation with customer.

- Cooperation with credit team for reconciliation with customer and subsequent resolution of differences
- Cooperation with external auditor and local finance teams for yearly customer balance reconciliations

 

Your Profile

1. Junior college or university degree in accounting or finance or related field
2. 1-3 years working experience in AR function of industrial multinational manufacturing companies, preferably a shared services environment
3. Good communication skill in both speaking & written of Mandarin
4. Certain proficiency in English communication
5. Be proficient in MS Office and SAP system
6. (Internal) customer-oriented
7. Please be noted the working location is Jiangyin.
