Market Manager Plastics US

Industrial Coatings, as a part of the Bekaert Advanced Coatings Division, is the world wide supplier of 'diamond-like' carbon (DLC) coatings to the plastics, textile, semicon, automotive and race engine industry. Bekaert works closely together with its customers in order to find solutions to existing or potential technical problems and where necessary in order to develop new coatings or to modify existing coatings.

In order to strengthen its position in the US, Industrial Coatings is currently looking for an additional technical sales person who will focus on the Plastic-Injection Market. Applicants must be located in a major South Eastern US city.

Your role

You will execute our strategic sales plan in the South Eastern Region to include;

  • existing portfolio of customers and prospects.
  • responsibility for sales and margins defined in the short term business plan.
  • negotiatione of sales and contracts within given guidelines.
  • responsiblity for all communication with the end customer.
  • building an internal and external network, including with customers and end-users.
  • provide input for effective market communication and implementation of the market communication plan.
  • act as the Regional Technical Specialist (technical-commercial).
  • act as the link between customer and production to guarantee a clear understanding of each others expectations.
  • together with the Credit and Collection Depaertmentassure the solvency of customers;  follow up on payments and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • actively use the CRM-software, as a database of customers, product performance, etc.
  • supply input about important changes in volumes or product mix.
 
Acquire new customers:
  • explore new opportunities in line with our strategy in the ‘Plastics’-Segment
  • develop further the existing portfolio by adding applications at existing customers and new contacts

Your Profile

  • a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering. 
  • a minimum of 5 years experience in a technical commercial position in the coatings, injection moulding and/or tool building sector.
  • understand, speak and write fluently English.
  • have demonstrated strong networking skills, exhibit a strong drive for results, sense of urgency and be a good communicator.
  • as our key-accounts are spread all over the region, you are willing to travel on a frequent basis (at least 50%), applicants must be located in a major South Eastern (the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida) US city.
